Meet Our Staff |

Albert Galotti, P.T., owner of Yorktown Physical Therapy and partner at Cortlandt Physical Therapy, is a local graduate of Lakeland High School who went on to Boston University to graduate with the honorary degree of Suma Cum Laude in Physical Therapy in 1975. He has been practicing in Westchester since, with his first job at Blythedale Children’s Hospital followed by employment at Burke Rehabilitation Center. Since then he had worked in private practice, and finally opened his own practice in 1993, Yorktown Physical Therapy. Since the early 1980’s, he has focused his continuing education on the sports and orthopedic rehab, spinal injuries, geriatric rehab, balance and gait disorders, pain management, and more. When not working, Bert can be found exercising or playing tennis at Solaris Sports Club, and in the warmer months training outdoors for competition in the local summer triathlon season. |

Joseph Rifino, PT., is a partner in Cortlandt Physical Therapy and has worked at Yorktown Physical Therapy since 2001. After graduating from North Salem High School, he first went to the University of Connecticut, and received his bachelor’s of science in physical therapy from SUNY Stony Brook in 1999. He began his work in Putnam Hospital and went to Yorktown Physical Therapy in 2001. He became the managing partner at Cortlandt Physical Therapy in 2004, and continues to work in both offices.
Joe has participated in extensive continuing education courses emphasizing manual therapy techniques and spinal mobilization.
Outside of work, Joe enjoys snowboarding, basketball, and exercising at the gym. He is recently married and resides in Hopewell Junction. |

Kevin Moss, P.T.A., attended SUNY Oswego for his bachelor’s of science in Biology and went on N.Y.U. for his Physical Therapy Assistant degree. Kevin initially worked with pediatric and geriatric patients, each presenting their own challenges. He has enjoyed working at Yorktown Physical Therapy for since 1997.
Kevin is unique to Yorktown Physical Therapy; he brings a special energy to the office and uses it with each patient, so that when they leave, they are renewed and ready for the next hurdle in life. He strives to bring the patient to the quality of life they had.
Kevin has lived with in Somer’s for 31 years, and is married with two adult children. He has enjoyed living, working and playing in Northern Westchester, since coming here from Long Island. He is involved in soccer, baseball softball and hockey. He loves giving back as a member of the Somer’s Lion Club. |

Nicholas Capogna, MSPT, graduated Yorktown High School in 2000 and went on to Northeastern University to first receive his Bachelor’s Degree in Rehabilitation Science and then his Master’s of Science in Physical Therapy in 2006. While studying at Northeastern, Nicholas did internships at New England Baptist Hospital and Brigham and Women’s Hospital. He then began to focus on orthopedic and sports injury, his desired specialty, while interning at a private outpatient clinic where he worked with high school and semi-pro athletes. Nicholas is also certified through the National Strength And Conditioning Association as a Strength and Conditioning Specialist.
After graduating college, Nicholas returned to the area, first to work in an outpatient clinic in Briarcliff Manor and then came to Cortlandt Physical Therapy and Yorktown Physical Therapy in 2009. As a former high school football player and college rugby player, who took his hits, Nicholas has enjoyed working with orthopedic and sports related injuries for the past 5 years. |

April Caldarella grew up in Yorktown and graduated from John F. Kennedy High School in Somers. April has a B.A. in Psychology from The University of South Carolina. After being injured and receiving physical therapy, she decided to pursue it as a career. In 2000 she received her Master’s of Science in Physical Therapy from New York Medical College in Valhalla, N.Y. April has worked at Cortlandt Physical Therapy since 2003, and often helps with treatment at Yorktown Physical Therapy.
April has worked locally at Phelps Memorial Hospital and Putnam Hospital Center, working primarily with the outpatient population. She has expanded her clinical studies with courses in Myofascial Release, orthopedic and spinal courses, joint replacement rehab, Osteoporosis and neurologic disorders, and more. She is also a certified instructor for Pilates.
April enjoys spending time with her family as well as working out in her spare time. She currently resides in Mahopac with her husband and two children. She can be found at a pilates or yoga class at Solaris Sports Club, when time permits. |

Kelly M. Chase grew up in the Northeast, and graduated from high school in Connecticut. She received her Bachelors Degree in Sports Medicine from Guilford College. She then moved abroad to the Netherlands and earned her degree in Physical Therapy from the Hogeschool Enschede. Beginning her career in Florida, she worked for Health First Corporation, at three of their hospitals. After a few years there, she decided to come back north in 1998, for work and be closer to her family. Since then she has worked in out patient physical therapy practices, and came to Yorktown Physical Therapy in2011. Kelly brings her extensive training in manual therapy, orthopedics and sports rehab, and Pilates to our clinic – and looks forward to using these skills to assist her patients in reaching their goals.
When not working, Kelly enjoys spending time with her family and friends, traveling, and cooking.
